You may have at least one child but you are not in a position to have that one more child you have desired. The circumstances for everyone are different. In some situations this could be due to secondary infertility, your partner not wanting another child, financial issues or physical issues. Although you have never met this child you wanted, the loss and grief associated with not fulfilling your desire can be very significant. Some people have a burning desire to have that second, third, fourth or fifth child. Although you already have a child or children, the grief experienced can be very deep and profound.
This program has been set up to assist you in taking the steps to process this grief. We all have hopes and dreams and to not experience what you really wanted, that one more child, can result in tremendous amounts of grief.
This program is self paced with 24 hour access and hands on strategies guiding you to process the grief of not experiencing that one more child you desired. It is a step by step process of understanding and releasing the grief in order to heal and let go. It is the equivalent of up to 10 sessions with a Clinical Psychologist to work on the specific grief area.
WHO IS THIS PROGRAM FOR?
This program is for:
- anyone with a child or children but experiencing grief due to not having that one more child they desired.
PROGRAM CONTENTS
You will learn about what grief is, the different stages of grief and the common symptoms people display when faced with grief. It is very reassuring to understand what is happening to you and the grieving process.
PART 2 – LEARNING TO RELEASE PAINFUL EMOTIONS SAFELY
You will learn strategies to manage emotional distress and grounding steps to bring yourself emotionally back into a safe place.
PART 3 – DESCRIBING WHAT HAS HAPPENED
This part is made up of a series of in-depth questions which allow you to process step by step how your journey has resulted in not having that one more child and your emotions around it. These questions will guide you to know exactly why you feel a certain way and this allows for you to process the loss.
PART 4 – MY PERCEPTIONS ON BEING A PARENT
This part focuses on your hopes and dreams you envisaged of your family. You will be guided by a series of questions that tap into these hopes and this process will lead to more clarity and understanding for you.
PART 5 – EXPRESSING FEELINGS
It is important to be able to express how you are feeling. Anger, sadness and guilt are some key feelings that you will be able to express here.
PART 6 – RESOLVING YOUR INNER CONFLICT
It is very powerful to express what you are still holding onto and to resolve the inner conflict. This part guides you to express your pain and release any emotions.
PART 7 – THE LETTING GO PROCESS
This section focuses on letting go methods in order to explore the next chapters of your life.
PART 8 – GOAL SETTING
Setting new goals for your life is a powerful start to your future and it prevents being stuck or feeling hopeless and helpless. This can prevent feelings of depression as it guides you to new goals you will design for the next steps of your life.
HOW LONG DO I HAVE TO COMPLETE THE PROGRAM?
This program is self-paced. It is the equivalent of up to 10 sessions with a Clinical Psychologist to work on the specific grief area. You have one year to complete the program from purchase date. You have the option to request an extension if required.
